Modern Alto / Tenor Saxophones (Guide Only)

Please note: These prices are a guide only. Every saxophone is assessed individually before any work begins. This does not always mean the final cost will be higher — sometimes an instrument may only require a minor adjustment or small repair, and the price will reflect the actual work required.

Clean, Oil, Adjust (C.O.A.) / Basic Service

Designed for saxophones in generally good condition that require routine maintenance, adjustment and lubrication to keep them in reliable playing condition. Recommended every 6-12 months.

Basic Service covers adjustment and maintenance where no significant repair work is required.

  • Alto Saxophone: £60

  • Tenor Saxophone: £70

Prices are subject to a visual inspection upon arrival.

Full Standard Service (Strip-Down Service)

A comprehensive saxophone service designed for instruments requiring more than routine adjustment.

This service includes complete dismantling, cleaning, inspection and mechanical setup to improve reliability, response and overall playability. Please see our Services page for more details.

It is ideal for saxophones that have not received regular maintenance, or instruments showing signs of wear such as sluggish key action, inconsistent response or minor leaks. Recommended every 12-18 months or annual standard service.

Introductory workshop pricing while I establish my local service. Prices may be reviewed as the workshop develops.

  • Alto Saxophone: £120

  • Tenor Saxophone: £130

Pad Replacement Policy under full service

The Full Standard Service includes the labour for replacing up to 2 pads where required. Please note that pad materials are charged at £8 per pad.

  • Example 2 (Replacing 3 pads): Included Labour + 1 Additional Labour (£12) + 3 Material Fees (£24) = £36 total on top of your service fee.

Please note that extensive pad replacement requirements will be assessed separately and quoted before any additional work is carried out.
